Ode to David Marine, PM
Oh, David Marine, a stalwart soul,
A dedicated worker in Graham Surghnor Masonic Lodge.
With unwavering commitment, you played your role,
Treasurer and guardian, upholding the lodge.

But now, our hearts are heavy with sorrow's weight,
For today, we mourn your untimely fate.
The news of your passing, a deep and sudden blow,
Leaving us in disbelief, with tears that freely flow.

In every task, you displayed utmost care,
Ensuring the lodge's financial strength.
From fish fry to BBQ, food beyond compare,
You provided sustenance, fostering fellowship's length.

Yet, in this moment of profound grief,
We reflect on the memories, seeking solace and relief.
The laughter shared, the stories told,
Moments we cherish, worth their weight in gold.

Maintenance issues found their way to you,
A primary contact, dependable and true.
With skillful hands and a heart so kind,
You kept our sacred space, a haven enshrined.

The lodge now stands in somber reflection,
Missing your guidance, your irreplaceable connection.
Your absence echoes through the hallowed halls,
A void that cannot be filled, as darkness befalls.

A Past Master, you led with wisdom's grace,
Guiding brethren on their masonic journey.
Your presence, a beacon, a comforting embrace,
A source of inspiration, always unwaveringly.

We mourn the loss of a leader so dear,
Whose wisdom and counsel we'll forever hold near.
Your legacy, etched in the fabric of our lodge,
A testament to your spirit, forever strong and lodged.

Genuinely, you embodied kindness and cheer,
A friend to all, spreading warmth far and near.
Your smile, a ray of sunshine through the haze,
A reminder of the goodness that forever stays.

David, though we grieve your departure today,
We celebrate the life you lived, in our own way.
Your memory will live on in our hearts,
As we honor your legacy, where love imparts.

In this ode, our gratitude remains,
Though sadness lingers, mingled with the pain.
Rest in peace, dear David, in eternal light,
Your spirit forever shining, a radiant sight.
